In the 17th century, pilgrims are known through writing and artifacts they left behind. England in 1620 sailed the Mayflower to plymouth to uttain religious freedom and landing the first Thanksgiving at plymouth.

Exploration and purpose

They Sailed from England to plymouth. They set sailed in 1620. The reason the pilgrims set sail was that they could uttain religious freedom. They sailed about 2 months. They were at sea for 66 days. Persecuted in england these "separatists" moved to holland in 1607/1608 before sailing to plymouth.

Arrival Point

The pilgrims ended up at plymouth in 1620. They sailed from endgland to plymouth. They found unfertail soil and non fresh water.
